My Name is Buttons
This is a super low-budget film that my friend John Merriman (the voice “Milton”) and I co-wrote and co-directed. It’s a dark comedy about a smart but disgruntled
artist, played by John, who participates in a research study for an experimental
new antidepressant. The drug succeeds in makes him happier... by making him dumber.

Gretchen
John Merriman and I star in this “sad comedy”, written and directed by our great
friend Steve Collins. It is the story of an awkward girl's struggle to overcome an
obsession with Boone High School’s most powerful dirt-bag, Ricky Maraschino. Her
affliction is so severe, she's banished to an emotional treatment center, where she
begins to question why everything that she wants in the whole wide world is a boy.
Gretchen is an extreme tale of ordinary things: prom, boys, and going second base,
told with the unique gravity of a 17-year-old heart. “Gretchen” premiered at this year’s SXSW Film Festival and is currently touring the festival circuit!

Yeti in the City
Our other very great friend T’chaka Sikelianos wrote and directed (and is currently
editing) this awesome low-budget feature, which he has described as “a poor man's
grown up Muppet Movie for children”. I play a Monkey Bartender in the movie, and
John plays a Bear Cop!! It is a fantasy adventure about an abominable snowman who
leaves his home in Tibet to venture forth into a city inhabited by humans and animals
alike.

The Hot Shoe
Super-friend and hotshot cinematographer David Layton directed this very smart,
entertaining, and extremely thorough documentary on professional card counters. It features all the leading lights in the world of blackjack—professional players, authors, casino personnel, detectives who identify players, lawyers and academics.
